The Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), which is celebrating 100 years of leadership in sales and marketing globally, awarded ‘Fellowship’ status for outstanding performances in the field of marketing at the graduation ceremony held recently.
Lewie Diasz was awarded the CIM Fellow member status by President CIM Sri Lanka Region Dr. Rohan Fernando and Chairperson Chitrangani Herat Gunaratne, becoming one of the youngest achievers of this award in the world.
Diasz is attached to Nations Trust Bank and has worked with top brands within the John Keells Group.
He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and is also a senior Lecturer in Management and Strategic Marketing for the Chartered Institute of Marketing at Strategy College and held the position of Vice President at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
He is also on the faculty of the University of Colombo, ACBT, American National College, University of Southern Queensland and the University of Wales for their postgraduate qualifications.
Diasz is scheduled to launch his first book titled ‘Strategic Marketing as a Business Philosophy – A Sri Lankan Context’ next month, which will feature 10 Sri Lankan case studies and will be the first book to feature famous management theories and concepts applied in the context of Sri Lankan entities and brands.
Diasz considers him a student of social research and is reading for his Doctorate at the University of Colombo.
