At a prestigious ceremony held in Singapore recently, Untitled-1LMRB received the award of Asia’s Best Employer Brand for the second year running, having won the same award in 2015 as well.

These awards, endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses, are hosted by the Employer Branding Institute, an organisation managed by professionals from various countries and geographies.

The winners were selected  based on recommendations made by a panel of professionals and a Jury comprising senior leaders, researchers and academics from across the globe who evaluated organisations on creating a culture of contribution and innovation at work, being exemplary in learning and development initiatives, being a social employer, making consistent improvements in HR policy and developing future leaders.

LMRB Chief Executive Himalee Madurasinghe, who was invited to take part in the panel discussion on ‘What Great Employer Brands Really Do’, elaborated on the organisation’s thinking and HR practices as follows:

“We believe it is important for us to know the pulse of our employees in order to ensure that the needs of all employee groups are taken care of. Although every organisation has a hierarchy and ours is no exception, our structure is more flexible. The unique nurturing environment within LMRB, coupled with its culture of innovation and its rapid business growth offer – exciting opportunities to young talent. Recognising that coping with life’s stresses can be challenging, we also strive to understand and accommodate our employees. For our efforts to succeed, communication and transparency are paramount. Therefore we always advocate being open and honest with our employees and creating a work place culture that is inclusive.

“Being a specialised service organisation, in order to ensure it has a sustainable pool of talent to support the future expansion of the company, LMRB makes significant investments towards the development of its people through professionally managed workshops and training programs. These factors, together with the company’s increasing commitment to corporate social responsibility, help provide a strong value proposition for prospective employees.”
