LOWE LDB No.1 at Effie Awards 2011

Lowe LDB emerged the top ranked advertising agency in Sri Lanka at the Effie Awards 2011, with a record haul of 3 Silver and 3 Bronze awards, on a night when no Golds were awarded. The agency was especially proud to record wins for two of their most longstanding clients Unilever Sri Lanka & Elephant House, at a glitzy ceremony held at Waters Edge.

Lowe LDB picked up 6 out of 19 awards presented on the night, accounting for almost a third of the metals awarded. The ‘Ice cream hidden inside an Ice Cream, for Elephant House 2 Bar Ice Cream, the ‘Two Toned People’ campaign for Vaseline Healthy White and the ‘Global Handwashing Day’ campaign for Lifebuoy picked up the three silver awards. The 3 bronzes went to ‘The Walking Fan’ campaign for Rexona deodeorant and the two Signal campaigns “Win With White Teeth’ and ‘Signal Junior Toothbrush’.

This year’s dominant performance is a testament to Lowe LDB’s effective brand building credentials, established over 18 extremely creative years that have brought market dominance to their clients’ brands. Lowe LDB operates on seven creative principles of which one is ‘The Good is the Enemy of the Great’ and the agency’s performance at the Effies 2011 is an indication of how the agency strives for ‘great’ advertising, that cuts through the clutter and delivers the brand message to the consumer in a simple yet unforgettable manner.
