Red Lemon Training held a major seminar on 27 January covering the developments and opportunities available in Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) that was attended by senior representatives of many of the leading corporates in the country.

The seminar was given by Ian Ramsden FIDM, Director of Strategy at Direct Solutions Int Ltd., who has been involved in Loyalty and CRM in the UK and Sri Lanka for over 35 years.

In the seminar he outlined many of the strategic executions that are common in other countries and that can be easily adopted here. “Many companies doesn’t yet realise they are sitting on a goldmine in their database. Whether it is consumer or business data the same information can be extracted and a communications program implanted whereby relevant sales messages can be presented to different groups. It’s very common practice now and, in fact, companies don’t even construct their marketing plans without analysing their data.”

Amongst many topics, the session covered the different types of loyalty program available and how to use data effectively, how to construct a balanced program and execute it,

This was the first of a series on training sessions introduced by Red Lemon Training, the aim of which is to bring knowledge in areas that create change, whether in individuals or companies, in order for them to progress.
