Phoenix Ogilvy displayed a scintillating performance by clinching two Silver, two Bronze and two Finalist awards, winning six awards in total at the recently-concluded SLIM Effie Awards 2015 at Waters Edge.
The SLIM Effie Awards identifies effective forms of marketing and communication that contribute towards the development of a brand’s overall success. It recognises ideas that appeal to more than a consumers’ eyes and ears, ideas that connect with people on an emotional level and ideas that made an impact and made a difference. The Effie Awards signifies marketing effectiveness and over the years has emerged as a measure by which the industry defines success.

Phoenix Ogilvy’s awards included two Silver awards for Hemas Holdings PLC’s recruitment campaigns (Glory to the Gamers and HR Manager on Vacation), a Bronze for Coca-Cola’s Say it with Coke (Open Hearts to Open Happiness) campaign, another Bronze for GlaxoSmithKline’s Panadol (Spartacus in Pain Management), a finalist for GlaxoSmithKline’s Iodex (Back Breaking with Record Breaking Results) and Manthri.lk’s Vote Scam campaign.
Commenting on the Effies, Phoenix Ogilvy Chairman Irvin Weerackody said: “What is important in marketing is great work that works. There is only one measure; how well it works? And that is its effectiveness in the market place. In this instance, the consumer is both the judge and jury of effectiveness. The Effie Awards we won last Thursday are ample testament to the fact that we have done justice for our brands.”
