Prof. Abraham Koshy to give keynote speech at CIM Sri Lanka Region’s 13th annual conference

As the world’s largest professional body for marketing, The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka Region constantly strives to achieve greater recognition and excellence in the marketing profession, whilst creating platforms for professionals to gain and exchange insights.
The annual conference, the flagship event of the CIM Sri Lankan Region, brings together eminent industry experts to share their experience and knowledge with the professional and business community with their 13th annual conference, scheduled to be held on 24 and 25 June 2013, at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
Prof. Abraham Koshy in his keynote speech will address what value innovation is in the backdrop of growing demand and how one could differentiate from competition. His presentation will confront the audience with the need to abandon their comfort zones in a bid to meet the new realities of the fast changing business landscape.
Prof. Koshy is a co-author of the best-selling book, Marketing Management: A South Asian Perspective with the legendary Marketing Guru Prof. Philip Kotler and is currently the Professor of Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.
He has made significant contributions to the field of marketing and business management. Prof. Koshy is a consultant to many domestic and international companies in developing new product strategy, innovation management, brand management and competitive marketing strategies. He is listed among the ‘Living Legends: 100 Eminent people from Kerala’ in the publication ’Destination Kerala’ sponsored by the Government of Kerala, India in 2012.
The CIM annual conference brings together a panel of eminent speakers namely, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) Director Prof. Uditha Liyanage, nXtlyf Future Consulting Founder Bupendra Sharma, hSenid Group of Companies Founder/CEO Dinesh Saparamadu, KRDS Asia Business Head Preetham Venkky, 3M New Ventures Asia Pacific Managing Director Michelle Bellanca and Institute for Global Affairs (SIGA) Director Dr. Suvit Maesincee Sasin.
The conference this year will cover specific topics including the theory of value innovation; developing the organisational environment and people for value innovation, thriving towards value based entrepreneurship, value innovation from a South Asian perspective, value innovation in a business context and value innovation through new media strategy and reaching the consumer.
The conference will be inaugurated on Monday, 24 June 2013, at 6:30 p.m. and technical sessions will be held on Tuesday, 25 June 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The plenary sessions will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Ceylon Biscuits Limited Chief Executive Officer Imal Fonseka.
