CIMSLR unveils flagship event for the 14th consecutive year
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region (CIMSLR) flagship event of the year: the CIM Annual Conference is scheduled to be held on 30 September and 1 October 2014, at the Water’s Edge, Battaramulla.
CIM has staged this conference for 13 consecutive years congregating the professional and business community of Sri Lanka to one forum in order to share current and topical themes in marketing, through a panel of international and local experts. This year the Marketing Conference will focus on the ‘journey of marketing strategy to execution’ and take the audience through insights shared by eminent speakers, both international and local including Prof. Jochen Wirtz, a Professor of Marketing at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Prof. Wirtz holds a Ph.D. in services marketing from the London Business School and has worked in the field of services for over 20 years and has published over 80 academic journal articles (including Harvard Business Review, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Service Research, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science), 100 conference presentations and some 40 book chapters.
His over 10 books include Services Marketing: People, Technology, Strategy (Prentice Hall, 7th edition, 2011), co-authored with Professor Lovelock, which has become a world’s leading services marketing text book that has been translated and adapted for over 26 countries and regions.
The conference will be inaugurated on Tuesday, 30 September 2014 at 6:30 p.m. followed by cocktails and the technical session will be held on Wednesday, 1 October 2014 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
The plenary sessions will be followed by a panel discussion comprising of renowned academics and marketing professionals that will reflect and generate the right balance of institutional, professional and academic dialog.
