The Metropolitan Group as part of their employer branding initiatives joined up with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) to sponsoring the Best Student Award at the SLIM Graduation for the third consecutive year.
Mr K M I W T S H Kulathunga received this award by becoming the best performing student which was awarded by Mr.Taslim Rahaman, Director / CEO Metropolitan office Pvt Ltd (Regions) on behalf of the Group.
This award was presented for the student who passed all subjects at first sitting and subjects from all three stages should be represented at the examination. At the same time, the Student should have received the highest aggregated average from the subject marks from which she sat for the examinations. “We are very grateful for professional institutions such as SLIM, which takes every endeavor to elevate the profession of marketing. It in turns benefits marketing oriented organizations such as Metro. We achieve greater heights having such professionals in our mpowered team” said Dulani Nissanka, General Manager – Group HR, Metropolitan Group.
Metropolitan takes many capability development initiatives to groom up the professionals in different spheres of their career. Launching the Metro Academy is such initiative as the education arm of Metropolitan. Metropolitan is the 1st corporate to be accredited by SLIM to conduct its professional courses externally.
