A number of students enrolled for the programme at the launch event held at Hotel Thilanka in Kandy on the 4 April and Indika can be contacted on 0727732845 for registration details. All students living in Kandy will now be able to gain their MBA from the National body for Marketing.
SLIM President Kalana Rathnayaka spoke about the expansion of educational products of SLIM. “At SLIM we constantly focus on taking our educational product portfolio to new markets. Kandy is the second city of Sri Lanka and contains a highly educated population. Therefore this launch is a significant milestone in the long term expansion drive of our institution.”
SLIM CEO/Executive Director Sanath Senanayake said: “Over the past few years there has been a growing demand for the SLIM BUCKS MBA from Kandy. Many people who inquired about the course have highlighted the distance from Colombo as the main challenge faced by them. However with this launch we will be able to satisfy the demand from Kandy.”
The SLIM/Bucks MBA is provided by the prestigious Buckinghamshire New University and differs from other MBA qualifications available in Sri Lanka due to the facilities it offers through its affiliation with SLIM, the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka. It is unique as time conscious students can communicate directly with lecturers from the university and the lecture notes and module designing for this degree are done directly from UK. SLIM adds value to the program by having a limited number of students in a class and providing an expert panel of local lecturers to guide students through the entire program.
