Participating at the recently held Future Minds Expo, the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) provided an opportunity for young students to get an idea of the educational portfolio of SLIM.
“As the national body for marketing we see the importance of communicating to students and professionals of Sri Lanka of the courses we possess, and Future Minds Expo organised by the Nalanda Old Boys Association was a good opportunity for us to do so,” said SLIM President Mr. Gamika De Silva.
While SLIM has been participating at the Future Minds Expo regularly, this year SLIM was an educational sponsor as well at the event.
The exhibition was held in Colombo and Kandy in June and is scheduled to be held in Galle on 7 and 8 September 2013.
Explaining that education is an integral part of SLIM, SLIM Vice President Education Dhanesh R Jayathilaka said: “Coming forward as a sponsor at educational exhibitions such as Future Minds is a good testament of our commitment.”Commenting on SLIM’s role at the exhibition, SLIM CEO/ED Sanath Senanayake said: “With the positive experience we have had participating at Future Minds, SLIM decided to be a Silver Sponsor this year.”
SLIM’s decision to participate in the exhibition was because Future Minds is a well-established educational exhibition in the country which attracts many students and professionals, this makes it an ideal marketing opportunity for SLIM. The designer stall of SLIM attracted many students who were enlightened about the SLIM programs. Many were interested in following the courses which SLIM offers.
There was live entertainment at the stall that brought out the talents of students and professionals alike.
