The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the National body for Marketing in Sri Lanka, won an award at the prestigious National Business Excellence Awards 2013 (NBEA), making it the third consecutive year that SLIM was recognised at the NBEA for outstanding performance.
The institute received the Silver Award at the event held recently at Hilton Hotel Colombo. The award is based on excellence in the areas of financial management, knowledge integration, technological investment, capacity building, performance management and corporate social responsibility.
SLIM President Gamika De Silva noted the importance of the role played by the council in the consistent outstanding performance of the Institute. “It is truly satisfying to be recognised for the third consecutive year on a prestigious national platform and it is a testament to the dedication of SLIM towards its mission and the dedication of the Council of Management, Executive Committee and especially the staff at SLIM towards achieving it.”
SLIM CEO/Executive Director Sanath Senanayake said: “This award is a credit to the commitment of all who have worked tirelessly for the betterment of the Institute and more importantly, the marketing fraternity.”
