SLIM transcends expectations in securing accolades for CIM

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has once again proven its prowess in the marketing arena by being the torchbearer for creating world class prize winners in its realm. This level of superlative excellence is created by the institute’s dedication and drive to transcend to newer vistas of achievement pertaining to the Sri Lankan marketing arena.

The Sri Lankan subject prize winners have indeed brought glory to SLIM by amassing accolade after accolade. This is due to SLIM’s10-6 highly qualified and results reaping panel of expert lecturers who provide an excellent foundation for 10-7success and productivity which are the essential ingredients to a quality education.

SLIM’s elaborated portfolio offers a wide variety of courses. They pride themselves as the most senior provider of CIM Education in Sri Lanka, producing an exclusive breed of successful marketers to the country and to the international arena. Having already produced the likes of Ahlam Malik, a world prize winner and many other Sri Lankan prize winners for the Chartered Institute of Marketing examination, SLIM lays claim to an impeccable panel of distinguished lecturers.

Hashan Wickremesinge, who was a student, lectured by G.S. Sylvester,  under the new syllabus of CIM, won the prize for “Marketing” whilst Chaturi Katugampola was awarded the Sri Lankan prize for “Digital Marketing” and was lectured by Saliya Weerakoon.

Vishwa Weerasooriya, who studied the old syllabus under the tutelage of Denzil Perera, was awarded the Sri Lankan prize for the subject “Assessing the Marketing Environment”. Udaya Shanker’s student, Dilrukshi Crofton won the award for “Marketing and Information and Research” whilst Indunil Aluthwela, who was lectured by Matheesha Hewawitharana, was able to become the prize winner, for the subject “Stakeholder Marketing”. In addition, Hiranya Karunaratne was the prize winner for the subject of “Marketing Planning Process” and her Lecturer was Mr. Philip Mullegama.

Founded in the year 1970, with a vision to “Lead the Nation’s efforts towards Economic prosperity”, SLIM is dedicated to being the driving force which enhances business and national value. In this context, SLIM conducts a variety of Postgraduate and Graduate Diplomas, which leads to Postgraduate studies offered by universities, both national and international. SLIM also holds full membership to the Asia Marketing Federation and is further recognised for its esteemed events which are conducted, in order to bring recognition to the many facets of marketing, and its equally esteemed practitioners.
