SriLankan Airlines and Grant McCann Erickson win for ‘Golf Classic’

Proof that a healthy relationship between client and agency ultimately benefits the brand was evident when Grant McCann Erickson’s campaign for SriLankan Airlines Golf Classic won an Effie at the recently concluded Effie Awards. This campaign was carefully strategised and structured by the Grant team comprising Laila Gunesekere-Martenstyn – Vice President, Russell Miranda – Executive Creative Director, Asif Ansar – Copywriter, Ravindra Kathriarachchi – Creative Director and Malaka Premasiri – Brand Manager along with the close working relationship of the management of SriLankan Airlines promotions team. During the 15-year partnership between SriLankan Airlines and Grant McCann Erickson several outstanding marketing campaigns have been successfully implemented of which the classic corporate campaign ‘Home Away from Home’ was a PATA 2007 Gold Campaign Winner in Singapore. The Grant Group has triumphed at the Effies in previous years and won for several clients like Singer, Keells, Elephant House, Etisalat and Women In Need.
