Founded in 1998, ADFEST focuses on celebrating and raising the standards of creativity in the region, and it is widely recognised as one of the most competitive and prestigious festivals in the Asia Pacific region. At the recently concluded ADFEST 2015, TBWA\Sri Lanka was recognised for their work on AIA Insurance, Mawbima Elders Day project and Sparks Electric Vehicles Radio campaign. The AIA ‘Space to Pray’ ad was recognised with a Silver Lotus in the Media category competing with 213 entries whilst it also won a Bronze Lotus in the Direct category competing with 205 entries. The Mawbima ‘Big on Respect’ entry was recognised as a finalist each in the Direct Lotus and Lotus Roots categories. Lotus Roots is an award unique to ADFEST that is awarded to works that embody local values whether in terms of culture, religion, beliefs, traditions or language. This year there were 122 entries in this category. The two Sparks radio spots were recognised as finalists in the radio category. It is noteworthy that while there were 91 entries in the radio category, there were no gold or silver award winners. TBWA\Sri Lanka Managing Director Renuka Marshall commented, “This recognition is testimony to the disruptive work developed by the Agency across brands and the capability of our team of disruptors. It is indeed an honour when good work gets recognised in the global arena.”
