TMC’s Vice President Errol Smith adjudged ‘Lion Of The Year’

TMC – Kalutara Vice Chairperson and TMC Board of Management Vice President Errol Smith was adjudged ‘Lion of the Year’ and received the most prestigious award at the District Convention of Lions Clubs International – District 306 A1 held recently at the Eagles’ Lakeside Convention Hall in Attadiya. The presentation was made by the International President 2006/2007, Lions Clubs International, Lion Mahendra Amarasuriya.

A unique feature is that, both Lion Errol and his spouse Lion Lady Devika were adjudged ‘Lion of the Year and Lion Lady of the Year’ by the District Governor Lion Muthumuni N.J. de Silva.

The couple holds the record of receiving this award for the second time and Lion Lady Devika Smith also holds the record of being adjudged Lion Lady of the Year for the seventh time for dedicated and humanitarian service.

Errol Smith is also a Vice President of the Board of Management of the Management Club, Vice President of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka, Secretary General of the United Nations Association of Sri Lanka, Chairperson – Finance and Administration of the Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka, District President of the St. John Ambulance Kalutara District and holds honorary positions in several other organisations.
