Triumph International won two silvers and one bronze at NASCO 2013, an event dedicated to recognising the efforts and performance of sales personnel. The awards, organised by the Sri Lankan Institute of Marketing, saw Triumph sales personnel A. Buddhika, Danushka Pradeep and Asanka Upendra win in two separate categories. Buddhika and Pradeep, who represented Triumph in the ‘Territory Manager’ category, won the silver and bronze awards respectively, while Upendra picked up a silver award in the ‘Sales Executive’ category. The awards, now in its 13th year, is the only national forum to which companies can send their best performers and give them an opportunity to be appraised by a panel of judges from some of Sri Lanka’s leading multinational organisations. The NASCO award is well known among marketing and sales professionals as an event that not only motivates and nurtures the sales fraternity, but also facilitates cross-industry sales learning by imparting the latest trends available to participants. “I am proud to receive this acknowledgement at such a prestigious event and I am inspired to continue creating value for our customers and to improve their experience when they shop with Triumph,” said Upendra, commenting on his win. Buddhika, who was overjoyed with his award, said: “I am so thankful to Triumph for giving me the necessary training and equipping me with the skills to win an award at this event. I’m coming away with so much more than just a medal.” “Sales, whether front-line or at a territory level, can be challenging – having to multitask and manage many areas, including establishing and building business relationships and coordinating sales efforts with many departments, including marketing, logistics and other technical service groups,” said Sajeeva Tillekeratne, National Sales Manager for Triumph International Sri Lanka. Triumph’s third consecutive win at NASCO is proof of the leadership skills and perseverance of their staff. “Our sales teams have displayed commitment and excellence in their efforts, which are reflected in their wins. Sales can be demanding which is why I am delighted to see the dedication of our sales staff being recognised at a national level. I thank our winners and wish them much success,” said Shalindra Fernando, General Manager of Triumph International India and Sri Lanka.
