World’s largest independent PR firm Edelman soon in Sri Lanka

Edelman, one of the world’s leading public relations consultancy networks, will establish its footprint in Sri Lanka when local independent PR firm, PR Wire, becomes a part of Edelman’s affiliation member network in early March this year.

The agency has entered into a partnership to become an Edelman affiliate member in Sri Lanka with an official launch in April 2013. Edelman, with a client list that includes Microsoft Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and General Electric Co., is the world’s largest public relations firm, with 66 offices and more than 4,500 employees worldwide, and affiliates in more than 30 cities.

PR Wire, initiated in 2008 was founded by Managing Director Ashan Kumar. The company is consultant to a gamut of products and services in the IT, ICT, education, communication, fashion, FMCG, finance and industry governing bodies and industry verticals, producing effective corporate strategies.  The company has also extended its presence in UK with the belief of integrating communications and sustainability to help create new business opportunities concentrating  on three core sustainability functions – social, economic and environmental.
