zMessenger expands further

The advanced facility is home to a team of highly-talented experienced professionals committed to developing and enhancing products and services that deliver more value to brands, telecom service providers and enterprises. The new facility expands and upgrades a dynamic zMessenger presence spanning nearly a decade in Sri Lanka. zMessenger leadership in the industry has been independently validated: the Winner of Most Innovative Brand by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), Commended Medalist at GSM Awards, Cannes, Winner of eSwabhimani Awards and Finalist of mBillionth Awards South Asia. The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata and Ranjith Rubasinghe, Chief Executive of Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel, the Co-Founders of the company, Janaka Rupasinghe, Jayomi Lokuliyana and Dhushy Thillaivasan and with key industry figures, tele/cinema stars, celebrities, media figures and corporate well-wishers. zMessenger, a tech startup from ‘Concept Nursery’ with three employees, has escalated steadily in its entrepreneurial journey as a mobile marketing services and mobile value added services company. Currently zMessenger is the most trusted enterprise SMS/secure SMS solution provider to leading banks, financial institutions and multinational FMCG companies in Sri Lanka. All leading TV and radio stations in Sri Lanka completely rely on services of zMessenger SMS gateway to manage their reality voting programs; the recently-concluded Ranaviru Real Star which received over 12 million SMS on the finale night was very successfully manage by zMessenger. Recently-launched BIG BON, a deal aggregating and loyalty management platform which is available on both Apple iOS and Android platforms, has already gained traction from international markets as well. The keynote address focused on the commitment of zMessenger to lead the digital transformation pursuing marketing automation technologies whilst securing bulk SMS services. He further noted that this enables mobile operators to further focus on their core offering and continue to add value to their customers. Unilever Sri Lanka Country Marketing Director Siddharth Banerjee addressing the inauguration said that Unilever has engaged closely with zMessenger over the years as the digital marketing partner for most of its digital branding and consumer engagement activities. He added that they would continue to commit adopting their digital strategy, newest trends and developments in the digital sphere together with zMessenger. The event also saw celebrities from the cinema and entertainment industry of Sri Lanka, including Sanath Gunathilaka, Pooja Umashankar, Dinakshi Priyasad, Ruwangi Rathnayake and Yureni Noshika who are active members of the Star Friends Platform an innovation by zMessenger. Gunathilaka highlighting the importance of the platform said: “zMessenger for the first time in Sri Lanka has introduced Star Friends, an interactive platform that enables fans to communicate with their favourite celebrity artists in the Sri Lankan movie, tele and music industry. This innovative introduction by zMessenger has totally altered and changed the way that a celebrity and their fans manage their relationships. This is a total paradigm shift and these types of innovations will further help us as stars, and our fans to connect taking a leap in to new technology.” The Premium Mobile Content division of the company has introduced many innovative value added services including Star Friends – a digital platform to enable celebrity-fan interaction, BC-English – a mobile-based English learning platform together with British Council, Colombo, Consumer Watch – An end-to-end mobile, social and web-based real time price notification and consumer complaint management system together with the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), and SLC-Live – a cricket news alert system together with Sri Lanka Cricket.
