Douglas and Sons (DSL), a pioneer in importing and distributing auto parts, tyres, batteries, agricultural equipment and industrial parts, announced that Continental, a brand for which it is the official distributor in Sri Lanka, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. Continental is one of the largest automotive technology suppliers and is the fourth largest tyre manufacturer in the world.
Since its establishment in 1871 in Germany as a local manufacturer of tyres and soft rubber products, Continental has today grown into an international technology company that offers safe, efficient, intelligent, and affordable solutions for today’s travel needs. Around the world, three out of four vehicles are equipped with either Continental tyres or automotive technologies, with an estimated one billion people using Continental every day.

Continental partnered with DSL in 2014 when DSL endeavoured to provide replacements for the growing number of European vehicles on our roads, since Continental is one of the preferred Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for these European vehicles.
