Most modern engines require multi grade oils for their engines. The multi grade engine oil market in Sri Lanka has potential for growth since there are many new diesel engines manufactured after the year 1990, for these new engines the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation is to use multi grade engine oils. Multi grade oils deliver optimum performance at high temperatures as well as at low temperatures especially when the engine starts, provides better engine durability through protection and improves fuel efficiency.
There are two multi-grade engine oil products under the brand name Delo in Sri Lanka in the viscosity grade SAE 15W-40; Delo Gold Ultra and Delo 400 MGX.
The Delo Effect campaign was launched to educate the consumers of diesel engine oil on best lubrication solutions to protect their vehicle’s engine on which their livelihood depends on and on how to minimise the cost of operations, which will enable them to save money as well as time to take them, their families and their nation further.
