Greasemonkey launches first mobile mechanic service in Sri Lanka

‘Mechanic at Your Doorstep’ service 

Greasemonkey Automobile Ltd., Sri Lanka’s largest e-commerce platform dedicated to automotive products and services, launched the country’s first mobile mechanic service, ‘Mechanic at Your Doorstep’. Offering clients efficient and convenient off-site access to trained vehicle mechanics in and around Colombo’s city limits. 

The Greasemonkey service connects customers with trained, qualified and NVQ4 and NVQ5 certified mechanics, offering home visit repairs, available throughout the week, upto 50km from Colombo’s city limits, reducing vehicle downtime and providing users of the service with a three-month service warranty. 

Commenting on the successful launch of Greasemonkey’s ‘Mechanic At Your Doorstep’ service, Greasemonkey Automobile Managing Director/Co-Founder Niduksha Widisinghe noted: “Since the successful launch of ‘Mechanic at your Doorstep,’ we have serviced over 1,000 vehicles in every make and model including hybrid vehicles, offering 300+ variations of service repair and maintenance. At Greasemonkey customer satisfaction is key. Thus the concept behind this additional service provision wherein which we carry out vehicle repairs at the client’s preferred location. The core mission of Greasemonkey is in fact to create automotive assistive services to suit and aid customer requirements in an efficient, cost-effective way, whilst maintaining industry standards.”

Users of the service are able to request regular service checks (engine oil/ filters replacement), engine tune-ups and overhaul, disk facing and brake pads replacement, suspension repairs, vehicle scanning and diagnosis, all running repairs, electrical repairs, including pre purchase inspections – full vehicle report and a repair quotation before purchasing a reconditioned vehicle.

Greasemonkey was honoured as the 1st Runner Up in the ‘Professional Services Category’, as well as the ‘Best Digitally Enabled Product/Services Category’ at the recently-concluded SLT Zero One Awards 2018, in December.
