The world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp, last week hosted Hero World 2020 at its Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, whilst unveiling three new products into the market.
Of the three new products unveiled, the showstopper is the new Hero Xtreme 160R which was launched to strengthen the Company’s fast-growing presence in the premium motorcycle segment, and signals Hero MotoCorp’s entry into the popular 160cc motorcycle category.
Alongside that, Hero also reintroduced the iconic Passion brand with a modern and vibrant Hero Passion Pro packed with a 110 cc BS-VI engine, followed by the versatile and stylish Hero Glamour in the 125cc segment, marking the generational upgrade of the motorcycle.
The Hero Passion Pro and Glamour will be available in Sri Lanka almost immediately, whilst the Xtreme 160R will reach us on a later date.
Hero World 2020 was attended by media, investors, dealers, supply chain partners and distributors from around the world affiliated to Hero MotoCorp. The company showcased its Centre for Innovation and Technology in Japiur, with Chairman Dr. Pawan Munjal stating the facility to be amongst the top five automotive research and development and test facilities in the world.
The event showcased several product concepts and business initiatives that seeds its vision for the future of mass mobility, including the R&D labs, test-tracks, and technology. “Sustainability and responsible growth remain at the core of Hero MotoCorp’s technology, innovation and global expansion plans. With Hero World 2020, we have curated a novel and unique approach to showcase our future technologies, products and services. Over the next five to seven years, we are aiming to create the next generation of mobility solutions that are relevant to customers across the world,” Dr. Munjal added. Hero MotoCorp also launched the Hero XPulse 200 Rally Kit at the event, which is available as a complete kit for aspiring racers at a nominal price. The Rally Kit adds to the XPulse 200’s off-road capability and hopes to make it the ideal motorcycle for amateurs and enthusiast to take-up off-roading.
