Compact SUV Hyundai Venue was recently presented with two extremely impressive titles – the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2020 award and Viewer’s Choice Car of the Year award. The car rapidly garnered interest and took the market by storm after its Indian launch in May 2019. It was obvious that people were drawn to this amazing model when its pre-sales peaked to over 90,000 bookings within a span of a few months.
Hyundai Venue was selected as the winner of the Indian Car of the Year or ICOTY 2020 award by a distinguished panel of jury members that consisted of respected journalists from publications such as Auto Today, AutoX, CAR India, EVO India, Overdrive and Motoring World. Despite facing stiff competition from other popular and well-known car brands – due to impactful design and economical prices being some of the merits in its favour – Hyundai Venue was the automobile graced with the prestigious trophy.
During the third edition of the News18 Tech and Auto Awards 2019, Hyundai Venue received great accolades as they were bestowed with the Viewer’s Choice Car of the Year award. Amidst competitors from leading manufacturers in the Indian automotive market, Hyundai Venue came out on top in its nominated category – Luxury Car of the Year.
Having kick-started the connectivity revolution in the Indian automobile industry, this compact SUV has seen immense success within a short time period after its launch. The Hyundai Venue is powered by three engine options and available in four variants – E, S, SX and SX (O). With features like a dark chrome front grille, cube-shaped projector headlamps with LED DRLs and tail lamps, as well as a standout design that is composed of 16-inch diamond-cut allow wheels, shark fin antenna and silver skid plates that give it a sporty look, the Hyundai Venue is definitely worthy of its laurels. The spacious model comes with a choice of three interior colour themes and also features safety functions like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, a seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock and crash sensing auto door unlock to ensure that every journey in a Hyundai Venue is convenient, exciting and safe.

Close on the heels of the commencement of this successful venture, the Hyundai Flagship Store and Abans Hyundai Service Centre were declared open recently to provide customers with a unique automobile experience. The meticulously designed showroom at the Colombo City Centre Mall is the first of its kind inside a shopping mall, spanning over 3500 sq. ft. with VR and IR facilities to witness Hyundai vehicles. Open on all seven days of the week from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., the store allows customers to view all available models and choose from a range of specifications and colours. Meanwhile, the Hyundai-dedicated service centre was opened at Nuge Road, Peliyagoda and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the latest in diagnostic and service equipment and a readily available stock of all original Hyundai spare parts. Customers can relax in a comfortable lounge while the experienced technical team takes care of all repairs and servicing.
