Presenting new dimensions to the vehicle industry, the Ideal Group, recognised as innovators in the Sri Lanka automotive market, launched its latest Ideal First Choice premium multi-brand workshop at Yakkala recently.
The new Ideal First Choice workshop, located at 175/C/1, Aluthgama, Kandy Road, Yakkala, was ceremoniously launched amidst the presence of Ideal Group Chairman Nalin Welgama, Ideal Group Deputy Chairman Aravinda De Silva, Director (Automotive) Chaminda Wanigaratne, Director Nimisha Welgama, Mahindra Group in Sri Lanka Manager Sagar Badhraval, Ideal First Choice General Manager Dhanushka Priyan Walpola, staff from the Ideal Group, and well-wishers.
Having inaugurated the first Ideal First Choice workshop in Puttalam in March this year, the Ideal Group is set to pursue a massive expansion drive of its state-of-the-art workshops, through a network of island-wide centres.
The Yakkala Ideal First Choice workshop provides services to multi-brand vehicles across different segments, and is equipped with easy access to the latest technology know-how and equipment. Service offerings include diagnostic scanning, lubricant services, A/C and electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, body and paint repairs, in addition to an impressive range of spare parts at competitive pricing.
Commenting on the launch of the Yakkala Ideal First Choice workshop Ideal Group Chairman Nalin Welgama said: “Today is a special milestone for the Group. We entered the automotive market in December 2009, and when we began operations we did not have a market. However, today we can proudly claim our leadership stature in dominating the light-truck market.”
“As a pioneer in the automotive market we have contributed immensely Sri Lanka’s vehicle industry. Locally, a large quantity of hybrid and electric vehicles are seen in the marketplace. Additionally, a large quantity of hybrid sport-utility vehicles (SUV) are being marketed. Ideal First Choice workshop is most the suitable service centre to cater to these vehicles,” Welgama added.
“The Yakkala Ideal First Choice workshop is the second location of our latest service centre. Since our launch in Puttalam, we are now recognised as the leading service centre for that area. Discerning customers of all luxury and other vehicles can now select the Ideal First Choice workshop as the preferred auto workshop facility for their vehicle-servicing requirements. Our future plans include opening Ideal First Choice workshops in Negombo, Matara, Tissamaharama and Ratnapura. We are committed to continuously work towards the betterment of our customers,” Welgama concluded.
