AMB Tarsus Event Group, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (SLACMA) will launch the first-ever b2b international trade exhibition on automotive parts, accessories, services and repair equipment ‘Lanka Auto 2018,’ from 23 to 25 August at Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC).
The international trade exhibition expects around 150 international exhibitors from China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Turkey, UAE and Thailand, while also anticipating over 4,000 visitors mainly from Sri Lanka during the three-day exhibition. AMB Tarsus Event Group Project Director Darren Siow said Lanka Auto 2018 will promote cross border relations between Sri Lankan and regional companies engaged in the automotive aftermarket industry.Addressing the SLACMA Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday (27 March), he said the main objective of the trade exhibition was to showcase the potential of Sri Lanka’s automotive aftermarket industry and to link the companies to leading firms in the world and the region.
“We have identified Sri Lanka as a key growth market in the region and the country is already in the sights of many manufacturers in other countries looking to expand,” he pointed out. Siow highlighted that there will be a lot of new companies coming in that will display array of the latest products of automotive aftermarket industry. “The exhibition is very much targeted at Sri Lanka’s automotive aftermarket industry which will include retailers, wholesalers, dealers, sub-dealers, importers, service sectors, workshops, car care centres and commercial fleet owners,” he added.
In addition to the trade exhibition, he said they will also conduct technical seminars for the participants of the event. AMB Tarsus Exhibitions Sdn Bhd is an associate of AMB Tarsus Group, a joint venture with Tarsus Group PLC a listed company in the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
