People’s Bank has entered into a strategic alliance with Toyota Lanka Ltd. to provide corporate solutions. The tie-up will help leverage People’s Bank’s state-of-the-art corporate digital solutions to fulfil the local and international financial requirements of Toyota Lanka.
An agreement announcing the strategic alliance was exchanged by People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse and Toyota Lanka Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Manohara Atukorala at People’s Bank Head Office in Colombo 2 recently. Toyota Lanka is the Sole Authorised Distributor for Toyota and HNO vehicles in Sri Lanka and a fully-owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), Japan, and therefore a global member of the prestigious Toyota Group Japan.
People’s Bank Acting Chief Executive Officer/General Manager M.A. Bonniface Silva, Toyota Lanka Senior General Manager (Finance, Administration and ICT) Gayan Karunarathne, Senior Unit Head (Finance) Damitha Gunaratne, Deputy Manager – Marketing Chathura Dharmasiri, In-Charge Treasury and Banking Niroshan Rajapakse, People’s Bank Deputy General Manager (Channel Management) Lionel Galagedara, Deputy General Manager (Channel Management) A.U.L.A Anzar and People’s Elegance Branch Manager Shyana Jumat were present at the event.
People’s Bank has already opened an ATM at the Toyota Lanka Head Office in Wattala for the convenience of customers and employees of Toyota Lanka. In addition to the standard features, the state-of-the-art ATM also offers cardless cash transactions and is modified to better suit customer needs. Through this strong partnership, customers and staff of both organisations will mutually benefit, enjoying attractive products and service offerings.
Expressing his opinion on the strategic alliance, People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse stated, “We are pleased to offer People’s Bank’s state-of-the-art banking solutions to Toyota Lanka employees and dealers. This strategic partnership will help transform the way all of them carry out their banking by bringing a wide range of fast, hassle-free digital banking services right to their doorstep.”
