Telesonic and Prestige ink JV in clean transport

Telesonic and Prestige Automobile have inked together a joint venture envisioned to not just transform how people travel, but live, too.

The mobility nexus is set to blaze a trail in the world of clean transport through the advent of electric vehicles, with the first phase seeing the launch of the most complete e-scooters in Sri Lanka.

The company plans to combine its product offering on game-changing green technology with the concept of shared values, seeking to help inspire a more empowered lifestyle for its customers.

Telesonic, a consumer electronics heavyweight nearing five decades, and Prestige, famed for its long-standing BMW agency in Sri Lanka come together in a collaboration of unique facets and dynamics, fuelled by shared ideologies.

Telesonic Prestige JV is inspired on a mandate that seeks to empower lives and livelihoods on the cutting-edge of clean transport, initially offering the most advanced technology and design seen in the e-scooter market, with plans afoot to open up a new segment in cars and SUVs.

The founding visionaries plan to build a promising future based on trailblazing green technology along with the precepts of shared values inspired by United Nations Developmental Goals or UNDGS, says one of the livewires behind the collaboration Arun Mahtani.

The JV will take off the ground with a partnership with Aima, one of the world’s leading innovators in electric bikes. Aima is also inspired on the precepts of creating shared value and will find in its Sri Lankan partnership the ideal route to expanding its brand fuelled by a vision to go beyond the sale, and helping raise the living standards of customers, while preserving biodiversity in the customers’ habitat founded on the principles of sustainability.
