The advance racing skills, a special training program conducted by Akbar Ebrahim, with a total of 30 novice and pro racing drivers attending the training, was successfully concluded at the Speed Drome Pannala race track recently.
The training was an initiative of Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC) and Speed Drome, who thrives for the development of motor sports. This training was targeted specially for all the local racing drivers, in order to guide and help them to learn and improve their talent and skills from the FIA qualified trainer Ebrahim. Flying all the way from India for the group’s training, Ebrahim said: “It is always glad to train Sri Lankan racing drivers, because they are well equipped with talent/skill and passion for the sport. Sri Lanka and Pannala track is more like my second home in motor sports.”
Senior racing figures such as; Michael Wijesuriya, Shehara Jayawardana, Buddhika De Silva, Nalin Gunasekara, Missaka Naveena and Dilan Perera also attended the training session. AMRC and Speed Drome officials informed that they are scheduling more of these training and development programs in the future, to help the local racing drivers.
