AMW rolls out Renault brand in Sri Lanka

Associated Motorways Ltd. (AMW) this week launched the Renault brand in Sri Lanka.

Renault is one of the fastest growing global automotive brands, with 118 years of innovation and passion in the automotive industry. 

Speaking about the association with Renault and about the newly launched Renault KWID, Associated Motorways Ltd. Managing Director Samantha Rajapaksa shared: “Renault is one of the foremost automotive brands across the globe and it is an honour to be associated with this automotive giant. With Renault Kwid, we will offer our customers in Sri Lanka a game-changer compact hatchback which has been designed and developed by Renault’s global teams, making it a truly international car.”

Commenting on the distributorship inauguration in Sri Lanka, GroupeRenault Indian Subcontinent Operations Country CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney, said: “Over the last few years, we have exponentially grown the Renault brand, entering new and emerging markets. We have made Renault one of the fastest growing automotive brands. We had also expressed our intent of taking the Renault brand to important countries in the SAARC region, and we are living up to this promise with the inauguration of our first distributorship in Sri Lanka.”

The state-of-the-art distributorship facility in Sri Lanka of Associated Motorways is located at Gangarama in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The total display area of the facility is spread over an area of 2,828 sq.ft and is designed basis Renault’s new generation distributorships. The facility will offer customers an excellent brand experience – from the test drive, to delivery and after-sales support.

The distributorship will offer Renault’s segment defining cars – starting with Renault Kwid and Renault Duster. Renault Kwid is a great success and has revolutionised the compact hatchback segment, creating a new era in automotive history. The global launch of the Renault Kwid was a progressive step by Renault to pursue its strategy of accessible mobility for all and was a step up in its international growth strategy.

Duster on its part, is a perfect example of Renault’s core specialty of concept innovation, where an existing segment is redefinedto offer something new to the customer. The All New Duster range which includes a first of its kind six speed Easy – R AMT and also boasts of more than 32 new changes along with superior engineering, styling, safety and comfort features. “Both these products have set new benchmarks in the automotive industry and we are confident that they will appeal to auto enthusiasts in Sri Lanka as well,” added Sawhney.
