The Nissan Teana has long been one of the most revered cars in the Nissan stable, combining luxury prestige and reliability. Associated Motorways Ltd., local agent for Nissan, announced the introduction of an all-new Teana for 2014. The new for 2014Teana will once again set a new benchmark in the luxury car sector, with several innovative features that haven’t been seen before in the market.
Aerodynamically designed, the Teana is an evolution of style, with a svelte, curvaceous body being a star attraction. Step inside and you’ll find one of the most thought out interiors in the D segment market. The front seats for instance, have been designed taking into account findings by NASA to make the seating position the closest to a “neutral posture “as possible, i.e. the natural relaxed position a human body would take in a weightless environment. This improves blood flow, and dramatically reduces fatigue over long drives.
Noise, vibration and harshness has been reduced too, with new engine and gearbox mount designs, as well as the use of 30% more noise absorptive materials. The Teana also features improved knee and leg room for rear seat passengers, by incorporating slimmer front seat backs. The boot is now a capacious 516 litres, and can be extended by folding the rear seats.
The all new Xtronic gearbox is a revolution in CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) technology. Featuring 70% new components, 40% less friction and wider ration coverage, the new CVT transmission promises to ensure that the Teana is one of the most fuel efficient luxury sedans on offer today, and 21% more efficient than the previous iteration. With six airbags ABS, hill Start assist and Active Under steerControl, the Nissan Teana ticks all the safety boxes as well.
There’s much more to expect from the Teana when it is launched, so keep an eye out for the latest offering from Nissan.
