BG De-ionised Battery Water produced and marketed by Browns Exide is the first and only Sri Lankan manufactured de-ionised Water to have SLS certification in the country.

Vehicle batteries depend on their electrolyte stability for them to work properly.

Regular water has chlorine as well as other metal ions that will change the ionic structure of the electrolyte in the battery thus decreasing the life time of the battery.

De-ionised water is made by a process where raw water is exposed to electrically charged resins that attract and bind the salts. As a result, mineral ions such as sodium, calcium, iron, copper, chloride, and bromide are removed and therefore since it doesn’t contain ions which would otherwise alter the electrolyte matters of the solution, it will increase the usage time of the battery.

Therefore, BG De-ionised Battery Water with SLS certification will ensure longer life for vehicle batteries.

This battery water is available Islandwide through the dealer network and PowerMarts. The Browns PowerMarts have the ability to provide Exide customers a world class service and customer care, hither to not experience in the automotive battery industry in Sri Lanka.

Browns Exide, operates the ‘BattMobiles,’ which offers customers prompt service to mobilise their vehicles and replace batteries if needed. This service is offered to any vehicle owner within Colombo and its suburbs irrespective of what brand of battery they use. This is another example of Browns’ commitment to quality customer service.

With over 136 years of experience delivering value to a large customer base, the Browns Group’s greatest achievement lies in the fact that it has served over three generations of Sri Lankans across the country offering its products and services wherever a need has been identified.
