BMW gets Sachin behind the wheel

Cricket czar and avid car lover Sachin Tendulkar has been roped in by BMW as brand ambassador. According to Autocarindia.com which broke the news on 24 July, Tendulkar will become the first ever brand ambassador for BMW.

The AutocarIndia.com report said: ‘Sachin is seen as a perfect fit for the German luxury car brand and, according to the company, the Master Blaster’s association with BMW could even extend to global markets where there is a strong (and wealthy) Indian diaspora.’Quoting company sources, it was reported that Tendulkar will hand over the keys to the first 100 customers of the new F30 3-series as a symbolic gesture to commemorate his achievement of scoring a hundred centuries. The event is to be held in Mumbai this evening.
