BMW i3 and BMW i8 shine at Colombo Motor Show

BMW Asia and Prestige Automobile Pvt. Ltd.,  jointly showcased the BMW i3 and BMW i8 at the recently concluded Motor Show held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall from 8th  to 10th  May. The BMW i is a comprehensive and ground-breaking concept for sustainable mobility. It represents visionary electric vehicles and mobility services, inspiring design and a new understanding of premium that is strongly defined by sustainability. It thrills with its innovative vehicles: the all-electric BMW i3, is a locally emission-free car for city driving that is sustainably designed throughout, and the BMW i8 is the most progressive sports car.

 “The arrival of BMW i marks a new era of personal mobility not just with purpose-built electric vehicles that bear a strong focus on sustainability throughout the value chain,” said Heinz Reuter, Chairman/Managing Director of Prestige Automobile. “Clean energy, such as hydroelectric power and wind power are further used in the production of BMW i vehicles. Compared to the already highly efficient BMW production average, a further 50 percent energy and 70 percent water is saved in BMW i production.”
