Car Mart, the sole agent for Mazda in Sri Lanka for the last 35 years recently renewed their partnership agreement with the Japanese automobile giant, and will continue to be the driving force behind the Mazda brand in the country.
The commemorative signing ceremony of the agreement took place recently at the Car Mart head office. In attendance at the occasion were Car Mart Managing Director Senaka Amerasinghe, CEO Yasendra Amerasinghe, Mazda Motor Corporation Director and CEO Yukio Kubayashi and Mazda Motor Corporation Assistant General Manager Planning and Development Akhihiko Sato.
High customer acceptance
Car Mart CEO Yasendra Amerasinghe said: “Mazda produces high quality cars which garner high acceptance from its customers. The brand grew on the concept of excellent design, excellent build quality and advanced technology. Car Mart is looking forward to growing an already strong relationship with Mazda. This agreement will expand the reach of the brand, using the market knowledge of our team to identify further opportunities.”
He also said that whilst Mazda is already well-known for its stylish and high-quality vehicles, the market can also look forward to some new and exciting products to be launched this year that will include the Mazda CX-5 SUV.
High tech workshop
Customers will also be able to enjoy the benefits of a state-of-the-art workshop which is currently being designed and will be located at the Car Mart office premises in Colombo 02. This workshop will be structured to operate as an autonomous unit and will be staffed with the finest array of engineers and technicians who have been trained in the latest technological know-how in handing Mazda vehicles.
Amerasinghe added: “We are committed to further grow and strengthen the Mazda brand in the country and the addition of new state of the art workshop is a testament to that commitment.”
Proven track record
With Car Mart’s track record in building the Mazda business in Sri Lanka, registering year over year sales increases since its appointment in 1978. The renewal of their agreement with Mazda and with the continuous year-on-year growth of the automotive industry in Sri Lanka, Car Mart will be able to accommodate the growing demand of the market with its new and exciting Mazda products and services and take the brand to new heights.
