It’s finally here – a list of the hottest cars for 2015. With the likes of Honda, BMW, Suzuki and KIA on the list, there is definitely a special treat for all car shoppers out there. Are you wondering on which car you would want to spend your hard-earned cash? Are you looking to upgrade your existing model? Carmudi, the fastest way to buy and sell your car online, gives you relevant information on the cars that are on top the list in the New Year.   Honda Jazz 2015 (Summer 2015) The Jazz is undoubtedly one of Honda’s best, hassle-free cars. The 2015 version comes with a new 1.3 litre I-VTEC petrol engine and a brand new bodyshell, giving passengers more legroom in the back seat. It also comes with flip up-like cinema chairs, allowing you to place tall objects or your trusty bicycle in the back row. It seems like the 2015 Jazz will continue to be in demand for drivers who are seeking reliability and economy in the form of a bodacious hatchback with prices starting at $ 15,650.   Volkswagen Polo Bluemotion (early 2015) The 2015 Volkswagen Polo Bluemotion comes with a number of important changes. It’s powered by a new 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbocharger for both manual and automatic transmissions. The 2015 Polo also comes with a more attractive price tag. It’s cheaper than the previous models with prices starting at $ 16,290. This little turbo powerplant is comfortable, composed, more fuel efficient and comes better equipped than any of the previous models.   Suzuki Celerio (early 2015) With the Celerio, Suzuki offers a larger and more spacious alternative to the Splash model. It also comes at a more affordable price of just $ 11,999. The Celerio sports a 1.1-litre, 3 cylinder diesel engine, but will be available petrol-only in Europe. It also features low CO2 emissions, making the Celerio both a pocket-friendly and environmentally-friendly option for car shoppers. With a top speed of 150 kmph and seating capacity for four people, the Celerio is a powerful line up in the A-segment for city cars.   Kia Rio (early 2015) The 2015 Kia Rio comes in two versions: A 4-door sedan and a 5-door hatchback. Both are equally packed with more style and features than you would expect for a car with a starting price just below $ 15,000. The Rio offers efficiency, practicality, beautiful leather interior plus a great infotainment system. This makes the Rio a strong candidate to put on your car shopping list. Every purchase of the new Rio will also include a warranty that is valid for 10 years or 100,000 miles, giving you the peace of mind that every car shopper looks for.   Honda Civic Face-lift and Sport trim type R (Spring 2015) In terms of exterior, the new Civic has a different front look and side skirts design, completed with daytime running lights, LED rear lights and a restyled bumper. The interior of the new Civic 2015 is even better. With an all-new Connect audio system that runs Android 4.0.4, the 7-inch screen is controllable through swipes, taps and pinches, just like a smartphone! It also comes with DAB, Internet radio, Bluetooth, Internet browsing and a rear-view parking camera. The Civic Sport type R is a stepping stone to the sport model that comes turbocharged for the first time with 17-inch alloys, colour-coded spoilers and a sportier badging. The price is yet to be announced.   Honda HR-V (early 2015) The HR-V is Honda’s first new car release in the past few years. The HR-V is basically a CR-V built on the chassis of a Fit/Jazz. While Honda has not confirmed price and fuel efficiency figures, we expect the HR-V to come with a 1.8 litre SOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine. It will be available in either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive equipped with Honda’s Real Time AWD. It also comes covered by a 3-year/36,000 mile vehicle limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain limited warranty.     BMW 3 Series Face-lift (mid-2015) Although looking virtually identical to its predecessor, the new 3-series comes with bigger news under its hood. No official statements have been made but we can expect to see an all-new range of engines based on the 500cc cylinder and a plug-in hybrid with TwinPower Turbo, four cylinder petrol engine and a lithium-ion battery. The new 3 series will also be given an updated driver assistance system and control features. The final specification and pricing will be revealed nearer to the on-sale date.   Audi A1 face-lift (early 2015) On its fourth birthday the new A1 gets a face-lift, having changes made to the grille, headlamps, new paint combos and side sills. As for what rumbles under the hood, there is a range of six newly upgraded engines. The A1 now has fuel consumption improvements of up to 10 per cent and can be ordered with the seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch auto transmission. The A1 facelift also caters to social media junkies as it now sports the latest MMI system for infotainment as well as a Wi Fi hotspot to keep you entertained during your drive. Prices start at $ 20,000.   Mini Clubman (Autumn 2015) While not having much update, the new Mini Clubman does have a few distinguishable changes. Based on consumer feedback, the new Clubman will ditch the suicide door layout and instead, will have the conventional five-door layout. It will also keep the rear barn-door. We can expect to see the new Clubman with a 3-cylinder 1.5-litre gasoline unit and a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre gasoline motor. There is still little information on when the new Clubman will be available for car shoppers, but the official unveiling will most probably take place in March at the Geneva Motor Show.   BMW 2 Series Active Tourer plug in hybrid (2015) Unlike its gasoline version, the plug in hybrid will feature an all-wheel drive setup by default. Although BMW has yet to reveal in detail about the plug in hybrid, chances are it will come with a three-cylinder 1.5 litre-turbo for the front axle and an electric motor for the rear wheels. With a few badges to highlight its environmentally friendly characteristics, the plug in hybrid will not have any difference to the gasoline version styling-wise.
