Sri Lanka’s leading commercial tyre supplier CEAT Kelani Holdings recently hosted dealers and customers for its truck and bus tyres at two special forums to share technical knowledge and brief them on new products.
A continuation of an initiative begun in 2014, the first two programmes for the current financial year were held in Matara and Piliyandala and were attended by more than 150 invitees, the company said.
Presentations were made on numerous technical aspects and features that contribute to cost per kilometre, safety and mileage and on how to get the best performance in local road conditions.
The company also briefed participants on the product features and benefits of the recently introduced range of CEAT tyres for Prime Movers, trucks and buses. These tyres are manufactured with renowned Indian tyre technology for local road surfaces.
The company said programmes of this nature strengthen the brand’s engagement with CEAT truck and bus tyre dealers and customers around the country and provide them with updates on the latest developments in the company and its products. Fifteen such gatherings are planned for 2015-16.
“As the manufacturer of nearly half of Sri Lanka’s tyre requirements, CEAT has an in-depth knowledge of local road conditions, how they affect the performance of tyres, and what needs to be done to manufacture tyres that are equal to the conditions,” said Ravi Dadlani, Vice President Sales and Marketing at CEAT Kelani Holdings. “These events enable us transfer some of this knowledge to our dealers and customers.”
