Douglas and Sons Ltd. (DSL), a leading entity in auto parts in Sri Lanka, hosted a special two-day event to educate the general public about tyre maintenance. The event was held on 19 and 20 June at the car parks of the Racecourse International Rugby Grounds and the Arcade Independence Square respectively.

Tyres of cars parked in the respective premises were given free checkups to ensure quality and durability. Further those who chose to purchase an entire tyre kit (four tyres) were given a 10% discount. Staffs of Douglas and Sons were at hand to educate car lovers on how to maintain their tyres and also to check on tyre pressure, age, tread depth and visual external damage. Each one was provided with a personalised tyre care consultation along with how to buy the correct tyre that is suitable for their treasured vehicle. The objective of this event was to actively participate in CSR activities and also to educate the public regarding effective tyre maintenance.

Douglas & Sons Ltd. was initiated in July 1986 as the founder member company of DSL Group of Companies. The tyre department of the company was founded in 1988, with the introduction of the GT tyre to the Sri Lankan market. Journeying forward, strengthened by the legacy of over two decades of industry expertise, the GT brand has seen tremendous growth and currently encompasses the entire range of tyres.
