After supporting the AAC’s vintage car rally and providing free Etisalat mobile connections to the foreign vintage car enthusiasts during their stay in the country, Etisalat has now signed an agreement with the AAC to provide corporate connectivity and become its Official Mobile Partner.

The AAC is the self-professed voice of the Sri Lankan motorist and has been the premier club for Sri Lankan motorists since its inception in 1904. A fully-fledged member of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the most highly regarded international body governing automobile clubs, the AAC works to ensure that the Sri Lankan motorists’ interests are protected and heard internationally.

In addition to this, the AAC also provides its members with a 24-hour accident service, discounts on auto parts and automobile servicing, the latest in automobile news and is the only authorised purveyor of the international Driving Permit in Sri Lanka.

Commenting on the union with the AA, Etisalat CEO Dumindra Ratnayaka said: “The Automobile Association of Ceylon is a long-standing, respected staple in Sri Lanka that has worked to aid Sri Lankan motorists for over 100 years. We at Etisalat are proud to support such an organisation and we will be excited to see the signing of this agreement lead to a successful and closer business relationship.”

The details of the agreement will see the AAC sport a new corporate hotline courtesy of Etisalat: 0722 755 557 and members of the AAC, who have Etisalat mobile connections, will be able to use this hotline free of charge.

AAC will see both its building and tow truck branded by Etisalat as it begins to actively promote Etisalat connections to its members. The mutually-beneficial union between these two major players in Sri Lanka will likely see both parties grow and customers benefited.

As one of the most powerful players in Sri Lanka’s telecommunications industry, Etisalat continues to discover new horizons and explore new possibilities in the domain. Etisalat further offers Sri Lanka’s most cutting edge Internet solutions with the launch if 3.75G technology.

Offering a variety of value added services, sales offerings, affinity packages and other services, it stands atop of the ladder in innovation, quality and customer service. Having passed an impressive 3.5 million subscribers in a record time since its launch, Etisalat remains dedicated to increasing its subscriber base and taking the company into greater heights.
