Finite Lanka Ltd. is a leading construction company involved in many modern construction projects in Sri Lanka. They are focused on the execution of various types of construction work such as building construction, irrigation work, water supply and waste water projects and road works etc.
The company was established in 1996, as a construction company with a national grading of M7 and now has a grading of C3 for building, C1 for highways, C3 for water supply and C3 for irrigation work. As such they recently purchased 10 TATA LPK 1615 tippers and two TATA LPK 1618 tippers to be used for road development projects, from Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO).
A vehicle handing over ceremony was held at the Bitumen/Asphalt Plant of Finite Lanka under the patronage of Finite Lanka Ltd. Chairman Ajith Bogahawatte, DIMO Chairman Ranjith Pandithage, DIMO TATA Division COO Vijitha Bandara, TATA Motors Ltd. Country Manager Rajeew Jaiswal, DGM - TATA Division Nalinda Kurukulasooriya, Finite Lanka Ltd. Manager Bandula Withanage and TATA Motors Ltd. Area Customer Care Manager Vikas Soni.
Finite Lanka has contracted over Rs. 1.5 billion rupees in construction projects mainly on competitive bid basis throughout the region, which includes the northern and eastern parts of the country. They employ over 35 experienced construction professionals and specialised craftsmen.

DIMO was recently recognised as the Best Corporate Citizen in Sri Lanka for 2013 during the Annual Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2013, organised by the Chamber of Commerce. DIMO was also well acknowledged at the Annual Report Awards, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (SL), winning awards representing many significant categories. The highlight among the four awards won, was the award received as a Special Recognition Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting. DIMO was the pioneer in Sri Lanka in Integrated Reporting. DIMO was also recognized as the Best in Sri Lanka for Corporate Governance Disclosure, as the Best in Sri Lanka for Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting and won a Gold for Diversified Holdings (Groups up to five subsidiaries).
And at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards, apart from being recognized at the Best Corporate Citizen in Sri Lanka, DIMO also walked away with the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2013 (Category of Ten Best Corporate Citizens), Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2013 (Sector Award Winner of Social Sustainability), Best Sustainability Project Awards 2013 (Automobile Training School Project), Certificate of Merit for the “Lassana Hetak” Project and Certificate of Merit for the Turtle Conservation Project. Furthermore DIMO is an ISO 14001:2004 and an ISO 9001:2000 certified company.
