Ideal Motors to supply vehicles to the armed forces

Ideal Motors (Pvt) Ltd., subsidiary of the Ideal Group, which is the sole authorised distributor for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. – Automotive Sector won the coveted tender called by the Ministry of Defence for the supply of automobiles under the Indian Line of Credit.

As such, Ideal Motors will supply a total of 645 vehicles from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. to the armed forces of Sri Lanka. As such, on 9 June 2011, the first round of vehicles were supplied to the Sri Lanka Navy.

The total order of vehicles delivered to the Sri Lanka Navy would be 20 units of the Bolero LX 4WD, 25 units of the Bolero Maxi Truck & 25 units of the Bolero Single Cab Turbo 4WD. Chaminda Perera, Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Motors (Pvt) Ltd.
