Promotes proper vehicle maintenance with free vehicle scans

Janashakthi Insurance recently held the latest of a series of motor clinics in Jaffna on 21 and 22 March. Those who participated in the clinic, held at the Jaffna Ground opposite public library, benefited from free vehicle scanning which would ordinarily cost over Rs. 7,000. Held in order to promote public safety, the clinic allowed all motor cars and dual purpose vehicle users to identify defects and receive technical advice from experts from the Automobile Institute of Research and Training. In this way, motorists were able to identify issues in their vehicles and take corrective measures before a breakdown occurred. The scanning included engine, transmission control, air conditioning and climate control system testing to ensure maximum functionality. AIRT technicians also examined the internal system of the vehicle, including the wiring, lighting, meter panel, central locking system, and checking the battery, tire and suspension systems to ensure that the vehicles were in top working condition. The scan also included a paint and bodywork inspection. Going above and beyond, the experts also educated vehicle owners on comprehensive vehicle care and maintenance, in order to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.                       “‘Motor Clinic’ is yet another service-oriented event introduced by Janashakthi. This showcases the company’s firm commitment to providing not just the best quality insurance, but a host of value added services as well. Regular check-ups and vehicle maintenance can save motorists money through preventing costly repairs. It can also ensure that accidents are prevented. As a responsible insurance provider and a customer-centric organisation, we feel it is our duty to educate the customers and general public about proper vehicle care,” said Janashakthi Insurance Senior Brand Manager – Motor Kaushala Amarasekara. Through the motor clinic initiative Janashakthi hopes to educate vehicle owners not just in Jaffna but also island-wide on the importance of proper vehicle maintenance to ensure seamless travel and maintain public safety.
