Southern Petroleum Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of LAUGFS Holdings, has strengthened its islandwide presence with the opening of its first ‘ALL fuel’ filling station in Kosgoda.
This is the fourth fuel station in the Southern Petroleum network and provides motorists in the Kosgoda area the opportunity to experience high octane, low sulphur fuel and other petroleum products.
“We at LAUGFS believe that it is our responsibility to expand our services to meet the growing demands of our customers and it is greatly satisfying to extend our network to Kosgoda in the Southern Province,” said LAUGFS Holdings Chairman W.K.H. Wegapitiya
The new fuel station was set up in partnership with Lanka Indian Oil Company, strengthening the relationship between the Indian fuel giant and LAUGFS.
“Indian Oil is committed to being a good strategic partner in Sri Lanka and we currently operate in more than 168 petrol and diesel stations in Sri Lanka. I am pleased to see that our experience in downstream petroleum operation in India is helping to create a healthy and competitive petroleum industry in Sri Lanka,” said LIOC Managing Director Subodh Dakwale.
LAUGFS Holdings Ltd. is a highly diversified business conglomerate and has a substantial stake in the power and energy sectors. LAUGFS has established itself by offering value for money on its services and products.
When the Government decided to liberalise the petroleum sector almost a decade ago, LAUGFS Petroleum Ltd. created history by being the only Sri Lankan company to come forward and invest in the petroleum retail sector, setting standards in the Sri Lankan petroleum industry.
