The highly-stylised and sophisticated SsangYong Tivoli recently celebrated its one year anniversary in Sri Lanka.
To celebrate the successful completion of its maiden year, Micro Cars, the only authorised assembler and distributor for SsangYong in Sri Lanka, hosted all Tivoli owners and their families to a special event at the Viharamahadevi Park tagged ‘Tivoli @ the Park’. Since its introduction, SsangYong Tivoli has sold over 200 SUVs in Sri Lanka and is now soon becoming a local as well as a global iconic vehicle.
Commenting on this achievement, Micro Cars Chairman/CEO Dr. Lawrence Perera said: “It was indeed a special occasion to celebrate this first milestone with the entire Tivoli family. Over the past year, Tivoli has had tremendous acceptance and growth in the Sri Lankan market. The success of the Tivoli is only an encouragement and an assurance of innovative products that are to be introduced by SsangYong Motor Company of South Korea in the near future. Another focus area for us is to provide unparalleled after sale services together with these innovations.”
Over 120 Tivolians and their families arrived in their fashionable Tivolis to be a part of this special event. The breakfast event was a day filled with entertainment, fun games and activities for the entire family. Winners of the games and raffle draw were awarded with special giveaways and trophies.
One such Tivolian, Chaminda Welikala, stated: “Special thanks go to the Micro team for organizing such a fantastic event. We enjoyed it very much. I wish Micro Cars all the success to celebrate ‘Tivoli @ the Park’ second year ownership too.”
The event also marked the launch of www.Micro-Ssangyong.com, a dedicated website for SsangYong product range offered and serviced by Micro Cars in Sri Lanka. The website enables a 360 degree view of all its products, product specifications, product reviews, Micro SsangYong event updates, after sales coverage and availability and live feedback for any customer inquiries. Post event Micro SsangYong recorded a 250% growth in web search and customer responses.
Globally renowned Lubricant brand Motul Lubricants and Unilever Sri Lanka also partnered this special event. Unilever displayed the ‘Max Tivoli’ which is the main prize of their latest product campaign tagged ‘Un-buyable Tivoli’ making the vehicle displays even more colourful.
Micro SsangYong Tivoli is a good example of an automobile developed for everyday economical usage and packed with modern functionality but designed with ease of driving in today’s congested roads, whilst standing out from the rest. Micro believe this is the first of many more to be achieved by the Tivoli family and SsangYong group for years to come.
