Milinda Moragoda founder, MMBL Pathfinder has got himself an electric car, costing around Rs. 5.5 million – one of about 30 to 40 now on country roads and he is coming to office daily. The ‘green’ vehicles can do 140 to 160 km on a full charge of the battery. These vehicles cannot be bought new as the manufacturers do not service markets where the necessary infrastructure is not available but those who want them can buy them as reconditioned vehicles. Here Moragoda’s new electric car which uses zero emission of fuel.
