The Nalaka Group of companies which was the first one to introduce the computerised wheel alignment in 1988 is marking 25 years of service whilst offering its loyal customers rewards in return.
“Looking back, our biggest challenge was introducing the computerised wheel alignment system to Sri Lanka at a time when it wasn’t even heard of,” said Nalaka de Silva, Chairman of Nalaka Group of Companies. “After importing the machines back in ’88, we had to test them for six months before introducing the concept to the market.”
During the past 25 years, Nalaka Computerized Wheel Alignment Ltd. has not only been the pioneer in providing computerised wheel alignment, but has expanded and introduced brand new and superior automobile technology that can diagnose a vehicle’s problems in a matter of minutes.
Speaking on the company’s growth, de Silva said that the Nalaka Tyre Merchants’ legacy was initiated by his father in 1965. He carried forward this momentum by founding various other companies such as Nalaka Computerized Wheel Alignment Ltd., Vehicle Lovers Ltd., Thiru Murugan’s Foodwaves Ltd. and Thiru Kumuran’s Food Waves Ltd.
An automobile engineer by profession and a graduate of the Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (India), de Silva spearheaded the company’s foray of services and products carving a niche for itself and loyalty from its growing clientele.
Today the company offers services such as four wheel aligner3D function, scan functions for all vehicles and the world’s fasted professional brake lathe. It was also the first to introduce ultra sound injector tester and cleaner, shock absorber, suspension brake tester, computerised engine tuning and ATF exchanger.
“In celebration of the silver jubilee, we are offering all the above mentioned services with an unbelievable 50% discount through collaboration with mydeal.lk,” he added. “This is our way of giving back to the customers who been loyal to us and helped us flourish.”
Speaking further on the collaboration, Damitha Ginigaddarage, Managing Director of Mydeal.lk Ltd., said that they were proud to partner with Nalaka Computerized Wheel Alignment.
“There are three options for customer’s convenience. They can purchase the deal from their credit card online, reserve the voucher which they can pay and pick up from the Galle Road office or they could deposit to any Sampath Bank and the voucher will be mailed to them.”
Together they have decided to have a booth at the service centre located at Hyde Park Corner so fans can come to the service centre and avail themselves of the great offers.
Ginigaddarage added that the site had reached a fan base of 76,000 on Facebook within a short time and was constantly on the lookout for ways to market itself through emerging media and emerging markets.
