Land Rover, a leading luxury SUV manufacturer, has released footage of the Range Rover Sport SVR being thoroughly tested and pushed to its limits. In the film, Mike Cross, chief engineer of vehicle integrity at Jaguar Land Rover, has demonstrated the adjustability, poise and body control of the most advanced Land Rover ever produced, said a statement by the company. Mike said: “The Range Rover Sport SVR’s sophisticated drive train and advanced four-wheel drive chassis technology delivers supreme high speed handling characteristics.” The footage was shot at the Rockingham circuit in the UK. The SVR has been created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The vehicle’s power comes from a 5 litre supercharged V8 petrol engine developed to produce 550PS and 680Nm of torque. In the footage, the Range Rover Sport SVR has displayed its top-class on-the-limit balance capabilities, with its comprehensive range of electronic traction and stability aids turned off, it added.
