PLC approves financing for new Ashok Leyland Dost

People’s Leasing PLC approved extending lease financing to customers purchasing Lanka Ashok Leyland’s latest import, the DOST 2.5T light commercial vehicle, which features air conditioning, power steering and passenger car like comfort.

The Ashok Leyland Dost light commercial vehicle is one of many products manufactured under a collaborative agreement between Ashok Leyland, India and Nissan Motor Company, Japan.

Previously, People’s Leasing & Finance provided special leasing facilities for Ashok Leyland customers to help enhance the brand and emerge as market leader in the passenger bus category.

Under the present arrangement, People’s Leasing PLC extends concessionary interest rates and specially designed leasing packages with free insurance policies and registrations for prospective buyers of Ashok Leyland DOST 2.5T light commercial vehicles.

Considered ideal for local conditions due to its passenger car like comfort, Ashok Leyland DOST 2.5T light commercial vehicles feature advanced Japanese motor technology. With a gross vehicle weight of 2.5 tons, it boasts a state-of-the-art higher capacity fuel efficient Euro 3 engine, making it one of the strongest products in the LCV segment.

It boasts of extra powerful pick-up (58BHP),   a higher GVW of 2.5T, power steering, factory fitted AC, a turning radius of 4.8m improving manoeuvrability, low loading height of 2.7ft, a large loading platform, an inbuilt front impact bar, a comfortable driving experience; boasting a spacious air-conditioned cabin with fabric bucket seats, power steering and ample safety features. The most fuel efficient vehicle in its class, DOST 2.5T is available in three colours and four body options, which include ‘Freezer Truck’, ‘Ambulance’, ‘Steel Container’, and ‘Aluminum FSD’.
