Future Automobiles Ltd., a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings and the local agent for FORD Motor Company, launched the FORD Loyalty Card Program recently. The launch event took place at the state-of-the-art FORD Centre, 3S dealership facility located at Denzil Kobbekaduwa Mawatha, Battaramulla, which houses the FORD showroom, sales and service all under one roof.

The Loyalty Card Program will extend to all existing and new FORD customers, offering them special discounts on selected spare parts for their vehicle. In addition, FORD customers can accumulate points when they utilise facilities such as vehicle services and accident repairs. These points can be converted into rupees at the end of each quarter, where the customers will have the option of redeeming them and obtaining valuable gift vouchers as well as further discounts on FORD spare parts. Loyalty Cards will be made available in e-card or physical card format, based on the customer’s accessibility.

Speaking about the program, Future Automobiles CEO ChamathTennekoon stated, “As the local representative of a global pioneer in the automobile industry, we are constantly looking at new ways to better connect with our growing customer base in Sri Lanka. We are launching this Loyalty Card Program to offer our valued customers a wide variety of genuine benefits that will make a positive impact in the way they experience their FORD vehicle and interact with our team at Future Automobiles.”

He added that this programme is part of a wider plan where the company is set to expand operations to cater to the growing demand for FORD vehicles. “The demand will for the first time see FORD setting up 3S operations outside Colombo in order to extend our product and service offerings to outstation customers,” he added.

Elaborating further on the Loyalty Card Program, Head of Sector Sales Gihan Vitharana stated, “We see the Loyalty Card as a vital tool in our business marketing arsenal. These cards are designed to encourage repeat purchases by offering rewards to customers and will also help us to track their buying patterns in order to provide them with the best products at the most competitive prices. The implementation of the Loyalty Card Programme will be carried out according to the Best Practices standards of FORD Motor Company, where each and every customer will feel proud to be an owner of the Loyalty Card.”

“With such a dynamic program on offer, it’s imperative that we manage the whole operation in an efficient, methodical manner so that it provides convenience to the customer,” stated Executive – Strategic Marketing Melissa Hindle. “Future Automobiles’ team will ensure that the customers’ expectations are met at every level and they are given a steady stream of discounts, rewards and gift vouchers as they continue to grow with us,” she added.

FORD’s heritage in Sri Lanka is almost as rich as the local automotive industry itself. With FORD entering the market with Future Automobiles, a Softlogic subsidiary in 2010, Sri Lankan customers have been quick to notice that FORD cars have set the standards in terms of safety, innovation, fuel efficiency and performance. Today, FORD Sri Lanka has six nameplates available, with the latest addition being the New Everest. The FORD showroom in Sri Lanka currently includes the Fiesta, Figo and Focus passenger cars, Kuga, EcoSport and Everest SUVs, and Ranger pickup truck.
