Carmart, the sole agent for Peugeot boast of the success of Peugeot 408, following its launch earlier this year. Carmart Director/Chief Executive Officer Yasendra Amerasinghe noted that the Peugeot 408 is an ideal family car that offers space, performance and elegance and is well suited to professionals. The 408 is also one of the most powerful cars in its segment, boasting approximately 30% more power than its Japanese rivals. It also features an auto-adaptive tiptronic transmission for sporty driving.
Spacious design and attractive features
The spacious nature of the car design is a key attraction to the ‘family’ segment. Its cabin offers the largest space in its class with plenty of leg, elbow and head room. It has a gigantic boot with a capacity of 562 litres, ideal for shopping sprees or long weekend expeditions.
Other touches such as a sunglass holder, iPod/USB and Bluetooth connectivity and rear armrest with two cup holders adds to its functionality. The combination of a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather gear knob, and trademark feline headlights gives the car an elegant and unique appearance.
