Feel the rush like never before, hear the wind screaming in your ears, blur out the noises in your head and let speed take over your senses. With this adrenaline rush, the all new Hero Xtreme Sports targeted at the youth, who seek to thrill and adventure out of their lives. Hero-Abans, the main sponsor of Seylan Colombo Motor Show 2015, to be held at BMICH from 20 to 23 August will add value to the show with India’s premiere stunt group ‘The Throttlerz’ to thrill Sri Lankans with their daredevil motor cycle stunts. They will perform their stunts exclusively on Hero Xtreme Sports motor cycles.

Unlike other countries, in Sri Lanka motor cycle stunts are still at the basic level and Abans take the opportunity to present an international stunt show experience to the participants of the Colombo Motor Show. Abans believe that motor cycle stunts should be developed as a sport in Sri Lanka, like in other countries and hope that their efforts in presenting an international stunt team like Throttlez will create enthusiasm and promote the sport in our country.

The Throttlerz are the title holders of the Indian National Level Stunt Championship and is the first team to perform stunts without a front wheel. They are the first freestyle stunt team in India to be invited to participate in the XDL Competition in Indonesia. Their biggest break was when they introduced the new Hero Impulse at the Delhi Auto Expo. They have performed with Freestyle Stunt Riding Champion Chris Pfeiffer during his Indian Tours with Redbull in 2010 and 2011. Padma Prashanth of the Throttlerz, the top rider in India, is considered to be equivalent to international riders in speedy performances.

The Hero Xtreme Sports product features live up to this promise. The powerful ATFT engine paired with aggressive street fighter styling is set to appeal to the biking enthusiasts of today, while its abundant aesthetic enhancements give it a distinct look on the road. How is the all new Xtreme Sports different from the earlier models? The all new Avatar has a powerful 149.2cc single cylinder air-cooled unit, which has been tweaked to produce an increased power of 15.4 PS. Torque rating too has been increased from 12.8Nm to 13.5Nm.

Hero claims that the Xtreme Sports can touch the 60 kmph marker in just 4.7 seconds.

Also, the wide rear tyre adds style, improves performance and provides better road grip. More importantly, Xtreme Sports comes with double disc – 240 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the back, for better safety. Apart from adding power and style there are significant changes in the features as well. Up front, the bikini fairing holds the twin LED pilot lamps and winkers. The Xtreme Sports also gets an underbelly cowl and split seats. The stylish exhaust with the trendy muffler cover adds to the sportiness and enhances heat shielding. Also, the Xtreme Sports comes with Digi-Analog console and tubeless tyres. The motorcycle uses a telescopic front fork setup and a pair of gas-filled shock absorbers at rear for better rideability and comfort.

In addition to all this, Hero is offering five-year warranty on the Xtreme Sports, as it does for its entire range of two-wheelers Xtreme Sports has been much awaited for the biking enthusiasts and adventure-seekers and they are very excited to experience it.
